NapMap is a baby nap planning and sleep logging tool that works entirely on your device. The app does not collect your data, does not transmit it, and we do not have access to it. This policy explains exactly what that means.
NapMap stores the following information locally on your device using your browser's built-in storage:
All of this is stored in your device's local browser storage (localStorage). It is not uploaded anywhere. It is not synced to a server. It does not leave your device.
The NapMap app does not collect, transmit, or store any of the following:
There is no NapMap account. There is no NapMap backend. There is no database that holds your information. None of the information you enter about your baby ever leaves your device, so we have no way to access it.
NapMap is served as static files from a web host (like any website). The host may keep standard server access logs, such as IP addresses and request times, for the page load itself — this is ordinary web hosting, not something NapMap collects, and it never includes any of the sleep information you enter, which stays on your device.
NapMap is a Progressive Web App (PWA) designed to work offline. After the initial load, the app stores itself on your device and runs without an internet connection. The only network activity NapMap performs is for the app's own files: the initial download when you first visit, and occasional background checks for newer versions of the app. NapMap does not send your data anywhere.
If you enable nap window reminders, NapMap uses your browser's notification API to send reminders directly from the app running on your device. These notifications are generated locally. No notification data is sent to or processed by any external service.
Notification permission is optional. You can enable or disable it at any time in Settings.
NapMap does not use any third-party analytics, advertising networks, SDKs, or tracking tools. No third party receives any of the information you enter about your baby.
You can export all of your data at any time from Settings → Export data. This creates a local backup file on your device that you control entirely.
You can delete all of your data at any time from Settings → Reset all data. This permanently removes everything NapMap has stored on your device. Because your data is only ever stored locally, this deletion is immediate and complete.
NapMap is a tool for parents to plan and log their baby's naps and sleep. It stores information that parents enter about their baby. Because all data is stored locally on the parent's device and is never transmitted to or accessible by us, we do not have access to any information about children. No data relating to children is collected or processed by NapMap or any third party.
If we ever change how NapMap handles data in a way that affects your privacy, we will update this policy, revise the effective date, and record the change in the history below. Given that NapMap does not collect any data, we do not anticipate material changes to this policy.
